I grew up a very determined and driven child who loved nature—exploring the world and dreaming big. I found comfort and value leaning into my more masculine qualities which led me to a heavily scheduled load of school, work and extra-curricular activities that carried well into adulthood. I felt I had value in a laundry list of ‘doing’.

College studies brought me to Australia for a term in which the Aussie culture left a profound impact on me in that there was an ingrained honoring of ‘being’ over ‘doing’. I tucked this notion away as I opened my first business; a women’s retail store in St. Louis, Missouri 2 months after college graduation. Here, I honed my business acumen, and learned the remarkable power of community while also deepening my yoga practice and sensing the shifts were unfurling within me. 7 years in, I launched my consulting business, Source, out of a deep desire to serve other retail store owners with essential tools and compassion to carry forth their dreams.

Around this time, a year and a half into Motherhood, my best friend invited me on a yoga retreat in Mexico. This retreat was a true spiritual awakening for me. Upon my return home, so much began to click into place for me that I had been dreaming—I sold my retail store to focus on Source full time, I began my own private daily devotional yoga practice at home, sold my home and all of my belongings a year later—packed up my family and traveled for the following 18 months throughout the US and Central America.

Landing in Costa Rica felt like coming home unlike I’d ever experienced before, and I settled my family there to begin a healing journey over the next 2 years. It was next to the sacred Machuga River in Costa Rica where I began to see the beauty of the feminine that led me to soften and heal the inner feminine within myself.

My journey abroad led me back home to St. Louis to bring my son into the world, transition my 20 year romantic relationship to one of co-parenting, launch a retreat business, write my first book, begin to build a sacred spiritual partnership with my beloved, fully embrace the beauty of Motherhood, and ultimately—come home to myself.

There is still so much more I have to deepen, to heal and areas to grow. I have committed my life to expanding my love for myself and others.
